ECHO CLIENTS FEATURED ACROSS GLASGOW FILM FESTIVAL 2026!

It has been fantastic to see echo clients’ work featured across this year’s Glasgow Film Festival!

Highlights included:

ROSE OF NEVADA', featuring Costume Design by echo’s Jo Thompson, which premiered at the Venice International Film Festival, featured in the Toronto International Film Festival, and competed in the 69th BFI London Film Festival.

‘THE FALL OF SIR DOUGLAS WEATHERFORD', featuring echo’s David Gallego, ADFC, as Director of Photography, which premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam last month.

‘THE SON AND THE SEA’, featuring echo’s Ruben Woodin Dechamps as Director of Photography, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and featured at London Film Festival.

The festival will conclude with the UK premiere of 'CALIFORNIA SCHEMIN' tomorrow, the 8th of March, featuring Production Design by echo’s Andy Drummond, BFDG.

‘ROSE OF NEVADA’ TRAILER IS OUT, FEATURING WORK BE ECHO CLIENTS JO THOMPSON AND HANNAH ECCLESTON!

The trailer for Mark Jenkin’s ‘ROSE OF NEVADA' is out, featuring Costume Design by echo’s Jo Thompson and Hair + Make-Up by echo’s Hannah Eccleston.

The Film4 movie stars BAFTA nominees George MacKay and Callum Turner, and is produced by Denzil Monk. The story follows two Cornish fishermen who return from sea to find they have slipped 30 years into the past.

MANCHESTER FILM FESTIVAL 2026 LINE-UP ANNOUNCED, FEATURING WORK BY ECHO CLIENTS!

We’re excited to share that projects featuring echo clients work will be part of the 2026 Manchester Film Festival.

Premieres and major screenings include ‘ROSE OF NEVADA’, featuring Costume Design by echo’s Jo Thompson, directed by Mark Jenkin and starring George MacKay and Callum Turner.

'LADY' showcases Director of Photography by echo’s Korsshan Schlauer, Production Design by echo’s Agnieszka Debska, and Editing by echo’s Josh Mallalieu. Directed by Samuel Abrahams and starring Sian Clifford, the film will have its Manchester premiere.

'THE FALL OF SIR DOUGLAS WEATHERFORD' includes Director of Photography by echo’s David Gallego, ADFC and will also have its Manchester premiere, starring Peter Mullan.

The festival will close with 'CALIFORNIA SCHEMIN’, featuring echo’s Andy Drummond as Production Designer and marking the directorial debut of James McAvoy.

Manchester Film Festival runs from 19–29 March 2026.

CATCH THE FIRST LOOK OF 'ROSE OF NEVADA'!

Don’t miss the first look ROSE OF NEVADA, the drama from BAFTA award-winning director Mark Jenkins, featuring Costume Design by echo’s Jo Thompson.

Produced by Film4 and the BFI, it was shot entirely on location in Cornwall and stars George MacKay as Nick and Callum Turner as Liam.

The story unfolds in a forgotten fishing village where the long-lost boat, The Rose of Nevada, mysteriously reappears after 30 years.

You can now watch DELIA DERBYSHIRE: THE MYTHS AND LEGENDARY TAPES on BBC iPlayer. Caroline Catz’s biopic premiered at London Film Fest last year and combines both archival footage of Delia’s music with dramatisations that feed off the original material. Costumes were designed by Jo Thompson and Hair + Make-Up co-designed by My Alehammar.

SXSW FESTIVAL FULL LINE UP!

The SXSW lineup has now been announced in full for the 2021 festival. We are pleased to see the following client projects in this years selection: Stacey Gregg’s HERE BEFORE, shot by DoP Chloë Thomson, BSC; Caroline Catz DELIA DERBYSHIRE: THE MYTHS AND LEGENDARY TAPES with costume design by Jo Thompson and Hair + Make-Up co-designed by My Alehammar; and FKA TWIGS “SAD DAY” promo, directed by Hiro Murai and with Production Design by John Stevenson , is also in the Music Video Competition this year.

The festival takes place online between 16th-20th March this year.

DELIA DERBYSHIRE: THE MYTHS AND LEGENDARY TAPES premieres at London Film Festival today! Caroline Catz’s documentary is more than a biopic, the film combines archival footage and Delia’s music with dramatisations that feed off the original material. Costumes for the dramatisations were designed by Jo Thompson and Hair + Make-Up Deisgner My Alehammar worked on the original teaser of the film.

LITTLE BIRDS drops today! You can watch all episodes on Sky Atlantic or Now TV! Directed by Stacie Passon, the 6 part series is an adaptation of Anais Nin's infamous collection of erotic short stories. The show is set in Tangier in the 50s and features amazing costumes by echo’s Jo Thompson!

BRITISH ARROWS 2020 SHORTLIST ANNOUNCED!

We are very proud to say that echo’s Production Designer, Jon Henson, has received a well deserved British Arrows nomination for his work on the Sainsbury’s Christmas spot NICHOLAS THE SWEEP! The commercial has received 8 nominations in total, including nods in the Best Over 90 Seconds and Retailers categories!

Congratulations also go to our clients who worked on the following shortlisted ads: Costume Designer Holly Rebecca for her work on both KFC CHICKEN TOWN and Cadbury’s FENCE which have both received nominations in the Food + Non-Alcoholic Catergory as well as Best Over 30 Seconds; DoP Rachel Clark for her work on BBC NUMBER 10 which is nominated for Best Over 15 Seconds; DoP Edgar Dubrovskiy for his work on MALARIA NO MORE nominated for Most Innovative Use of Video; Hair + Make-Up Designer Kirstin Chalmers who designed PRIDE JUBILEE which Director Fred Rowson has received a New Director nomination for; and last but not least, Costume Designer, Jo Thompson, who designed Dept for Education TUESDAY which has received 5 nominations including Best Over 30 and Best Over 90 Seconds!

A huge success at festivals already, Peter Strickland’s IN FABRIC is screening at Tribeca today! The horror film - with a comedy twist - tells the story of a haunted red dress that proves to be possessed while passing from one owner to the other! Costumes were designed by echo's Jo Thompson and Hair + Make-Up Design by echo’s Emma Scott.

NEW SKY ATLANTIC DRAMA "LITTLE BIRDS" STARTS SHOOTING!

LITTLE BIRDS, the new Sky Atlantic 6 part series, starts it’s shoot this week! Echo’s Jo Thompson will be designing the costumes with Director Stacie Passon at the helm. The story is based on the infamous erotica of Anais Nin and stars Juno Temple (pictured in UNSANE).

"MOTHERFATHERSON" AIRS ON BBC TWO TONIGHT!

The new drama, MOTHERFATHERSON, starring Helen McCrory, Richard Gere and Billy Howle airs tonight on BBC Two at 9pm! Look out for the brilliant Costume Design from echo’s Jo Thompson!

BAFTA NOMINATIONS ANNOUNCED!

BAFTA NOMINATIONS ANNOUNCED!

This year’s BAFTA nominations have been announced and we are very pleased to congratulate Production Designer Laura Ellis Cricks and Costume Designer Jo Thompson for their work on Michael Pearce’s BEAST which has been nominated for Outstanding British Film and Outstanding Debut; Guy Speranza for his costume design on Jon S. Baird’s STAN & OLLIE which is also nominated for Outstanding British Film; Editor Napoleon Stratogiannakis for his work of APOSTASY which has a nod for Outstanding Debut for Director Dan Kokotajlo; and last but not least Sam Sneade who was Additional Editor on THE FAVOURITE which is nominated for Best Film along with 10 other awards. Congratulations!! The award ceremony will take place in London on the 10th of February.
