ECHO CLIENTS FEATURED ACROSS GLASGOW FILM FESTIVAL 2026!

It has been fantastic to see echo clients’ work featured across this year’s Glasgow Film Festival!

Highlights included:

ROSE OF NEVADA', featuring Costume Design by echo’s Jo Thompson, which premiered at the Venice International Film Festival, featured in the Toronto International Film Festival, and competed in the 69th BFI London Film Festival.

‘THE FALL OF SIR DOUGLAS WEATHERFORD', featuring echo’s David Gallego, ADFC, as Director of Photography, which premiered at the International Film Festival Rotterdam last month.

‘THE SON AND THE SEA’, featuring echo’s Ruben Woodin Dechamps as Director of Photography, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival and featured at London Film Festival.

The festival will conclude with the UK premiere of 'CALIFORNIA SCHEMIN' tomorrow, the 8th of March, featuring Production Design by echo’s Andy Drummond, BFDG.

Apple - ‘iPhone 16 Pro: Big Man’ is nominated for ‘Branded Entertainment' Production Design by echo’s Alexandra Toomey, and Korsshan Schlauer as Director of Photography. Directed by Aneil Karia and produced by Somesuch.

Beats by Dre _- ‘_Some Play, Others Glide’ is nominated in ‘Digital Services, Electronics, Computer Games and Toys. Costume Design by echo’s Matilda Oliver. Directed by Grandmas and produced by Academy.

BBC _- ‘_Made Of Here’ is nominated in 'Entertainment and Sport Promotions' with echo’s Ruben Woodin Dechamps as Director of Photography. Directed by Dan Emmerson and produced by Somesuch.

Medical Aid for Palestinians _- ‘_I Know’ is nominated for ‘The Impact Award’. Costume Design by echo’s Matilda Oliver. Directed by Billy Boyd Cape and produced by Academy.

BIFA ANNOUNCES THE 2025 LONGLIST

Congratulations to all the films selected for this year’s BIFA Longlists, especially to those starring work by echo clients:

  • 'ON FALLING' featuring Production Design by echo’s Andy Drummond, for which writer and director Laura Carreira was selected for Best Debut Screenwriter and The Douglas Hickox Award (Best Debut Director)

  • THE BALLAD OF WALLIS ISLAND’ showcasing Production Design by echo’s Alexandra Toomey, where Tom Basden and Tim Key were chosen for the Best Debut Screenwriter Longlist

  • DREAMERS’ with Editing by echo’s Arttu Salmi, BFE, for which writer and director Joy Gharoro-Akpojotor was selected for Best Debut Screenwriter and The Douglas Hickox Award

  • 'PILLION' featuring Hair + Make-Up Design by Diandra Ferreira and Production Design by Francesca Massariol, where writer and director Harry Lighton was picked for Best Debut Screenwriter and The Douglas Hickox Award

  • THE SON AND THE SEA’ showcasing cinematography by echo’s Ruben Woodin Dechamps, which made writer and director Stroma Cairns make the longlist for The Douglas Hickox Award and Best Debut Screenwriter alongside co-writer Imogen West.

Nominees will be announced on Monday 3rd November, with this year’s winner revealed at the BIFA awards ceremony on Sunday 30th November.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ECHO'S ALEX HOLMES AND OIAN ARTETA ON THEIR 2025 CICLOPE WINS!

We're thrilled to announce that both echo’s Alex Holmes and Oian Arteta have been recognised at the 2025 Ciclope Awards.

Alex Holmes has won Bronze in Production Design for his work on ‘SHOEMAKER’, a commercial for Telstra, produced by Revolver and directed by Steve Rogers.

Additionally, ‘I HATE HELEN’ has been awarded Gold, with Production Design by echo’s Oian Arteta! This short film was directed by Katie Lambert and produced by Stink.

LONDON FILM FESTIVAL 2025: ‘DREAMERS’ AND ‘THE SON AND THE SEA’

We are thrilled to announce that the 69th London Film Festival is set to screen ‘DREAMERS’ and ‘THE SON AND THE SEA’ tonight at the BFI Southbank!

With editing by echo’s Arttu Salmi BFE, Joy Gharoro-Akpojotor’s ‘DREAMERS’ is about love, faith and confinement. After its successful world premiere at the Berlin Film Festival earlier this year, this British drama will feature as part of this year’s ‘First Feature Competition’ category.

In the ‘Journey’ category of the festival, Stroma Cairns' ‘THE SON AND THE SEA’, shot by echo’s Ruben Woodin Dechamps, explores vulnerability, hope and connection. After premiering at the San Sebastián Film Festival and the Toronto International Film Festival this year, this visually stunning feature will make its official UK debut tonight.

‘BAD APPLES’ AND ‘THE SON AND THE SEA’ AT SAN SEBASTIÁN FILM FESTIVAL 2025

San Sebastián Film Festival 2025 has set its New Directors lineup with ‘BAD APPLES’ confirmed to open the strand and ‘THE SON AND THE SEA’ also set to feature.

BAD APPLES’ - Directed by Jonatan Etzler, this satirical thriller stars Saoirse Ronan as a teacher driven to extremes by a violent student, exposing a community willing to ignore anything to preserve its peace. The film features Costume Design by echo’s Sarah Blenkinsop.

THE SON AND THE SEA’ - Directed by Stroma Cairns, this poignant film follows Jonah and Lee as they befriend a deaf man called Charlie while on a trip to the northern Scottish coast and Jonah learns what is important in life. The debut feature includes Cinematography by echo’s Ruben Woodin Dechamps and Editing by Andonis Trattos.

The 73rd Edition of this prestigious Spanish festival will run from the 19th to the 27th September, 2025.
