"IN FABRIC" AT TRIBECA: ECHO FESTIVAL FOCUS
A huge success at festivals already, Peter Strickland’s IN FABRIC is screening at Tribeca today! The horror film - with a comedy twist - tells the story of a haunted red dress that proves to be possessed while passing from one owner to the other! Costumes were designed by echo's Jo Thompson and Hair + Make-Up Design by echo’s Emma Scott.
NEW SKY ATLANTIC DRAMA "LITTLE BIRDS" STARTS SHOOTING!
LITTLE BIRDS, the new Sky Atlantic 6 part series, starts it’s shoot this week! Echo’s Jo Thompson will be designing the costumes with Director Stacie Passon at the helm. The story is based on the infamous erotica of Anais Nin and stars Juno Temple (pictured in UNSANE).
BAFTA NOMINATIONS ANNOUNCED!
This year’s BAFTA nominations have been announced and we are very pleased to congratulate Production Designer Laura Ellis Cricks and Costume Designer Jo Thompson for their work on Michael Pearce’s BEAST which has been nominated for Outstanding British Film and Outstanding Debut; Guy Speranza for his costume design on Jon S. Baird’s STAN & OLLIE which is also nominated for Outstanding British Film; Editor Napoleon Stratogiannakis for his work of APOSTASY which has a nod for Outstanding Debut for Director Dan Kokotajlo; and last but not least Sam Sneade who was Additional Editor on THE FAVOURITE which is nominated for Best Film along with 10 other awards. Congratulations!! The award ceremony will take place in London on the 10th of February.

JO THOMPSON WRAPS ON SERIES “MOTHERFATHERSON”!
Costume Designer, Jo Thompson wraps today on BBC series MOTHERFATHERSON! Starring Helen McCrory, Richard Gere and Billy Howle the eight part drama was created by Rob Tom Smith (LONDON SPY) and directed by James Kent and Charles Sturridge. The psychological thriller follows a family as the self destructive behaviour of the son, threatens the future of their media empire.

TORONTO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL FULL LINE UP ANNOUNCED!
TIFF 2018 has been releasing their line up in stages over the last couple of weeks, with the final program announced last night. We are very pleased to congratulate the following echo clients whose projects are at the festival; Gala Presentations include the world premiere of David McKenzie's OUTLAW KING which will open the festival, with Costume Design by Jane Petrie and Hair + Make-Up Design by Kirstin Chalmers; the world premiere of Nicole Holofcener's THE LAND OF STEADY HABITS with Costume Design by Alex Bovaird and A PRIVATE WAR directed by Matthew Heineman with Production Design by Sophie Becher. Lensed by Sean Price Williams, Alex Ross Perry's HER SMELL will also have it's world premiere at the festival and will be shown in the Platform Presentations Program. In the Special Presentation Category we have more world premieres for TEEN SPIRIT, directed by Max Minghella with Production Design by Kave Quinn; and Jake Scott's AMERICAN WOMAN which again features Costume Design by Alex Bovaird. Costume Designer, Jo Thompson and Hair + Make-up Designer, Emma Scott worked on Peter Strickland's IN FABRIC, which is part of the Midnight Madness program. The Contemporary World Cinema category includes BORDER directed by Ali Abassi and shot by Nadim Carlsen; and BIRDS OF PASSAGE directed by Cristina Gallego and Ciro Guerro, lensed by DoP David Gallego, ADFC. "SWIMMING WITH MEN" IN CINEMAS TODAY!
Oliver Parker's SWIMMING WITH MEN is released in UK cinemas today, with costume design by Jo Thompson. The dark comedy follows a man in the midst of a mid-life crisis who finds new meaning when he joins an amateur, all-male, synchronised swimming team. Produced by Met Film Productions and Showbox films, it stars Rob Brydon, Jim Carter, Thomas Turgoose and Adeel Akhtar.

"BEAST" IN UK CINEMAS TODAY!
Nominated for the Sutherland Award for First Feature at the London Film Festival alongside being nominated for the Platform Prize at Toronto Film Festival, we are excited to announce the release of BEAST, which is out in UK cinemas today. Directed by Michael Pearce and produced by Agile Films, Film4, BFI and Stray Bear Productions, the gripping thriller is set on the island of Jersey where Moll (Jessie Buckley), falls in love with Pascal (Johnny Flynn) who is suspected of being a serial killer. Featuring the incredible work of echo's Production Designer Laura Ellis Cricks, we are also pleased to announce that the film features equally incredible work from echo's new Costume Designer client, Jo Thompson. BEAST will be released in the US on May 11th.
