CANNES 2020 LINEUP!

So pleased to see the Cannes Film Festival go ahead with their line up announcement even without a physical festival this year!

Very excited that the following client projects are included in the list: Ben Sharrock’s LIMBO (pictured), shot by DoP Nick Cooke, production design by Andy Drummond, costume design by Holly Rebecca and also Eve Doherty as Assistant Editor; Pascual Sisto’s JOHN AND THE HOLE which features costume design by Alex Bovaird; and Elie Wajeman’s UN MÉDECIN DE NUIT shot by David Chizallet, AFC

TRIBECA LINEUP 2020!

The 2020 lineup for Tribeca Film Festival was announced yesterday! We are excited to see that AINU MOSIR (pictured), shot by Sean Price Williams is in the International Narrative Competition and MONDAY, cut by Napoleon Stratogiannakis, and BAD EDUCATION, with Costume Design by Alex Bovaird, are both in the Spotlight Narrative lineup.

The festival runs in New York City from 15th of April - 26th April 2020!

"BAD EDUCATION" TRAILER IS OUT!

The first trailer for Cory Finley’s BAD EDUCATION has been released! The film, based on a true story and starring Hugh Jackman and Allison Janney, screened at both London and Toronto Film Festivals last year. Finley’s regular collaborator, echo’s, Alex Bovaird designed the costumes.

ECHO FESTIVAL FOCUS: "BAD EDUCATION"!

After rave reviews at TIFF, Corey Finley’s BAD EDUCATION is premiering at London Film Festival today! The black comedy, starring Hugh Jackman, features costume design by Finley’s regular collaborator, Alex Bovaird and is based on a true story about a school embezzlement scandal.

TIFF 2019 LINEUP ANNOUNCED!

We are excited to say that the first wave of the TIFF lineup is announced and the following client films will be screening at this year’s fest: Gabriela Cowperthwaite’s THE FRIEND, shot by echo’s Joe Anderson; JUDY, directed by Rupert Goold and with production design by Kave Quinn and Cory Finley’s BAD EDUCATION with costume design by Alex Bovaird.

The festival takes place between 5th - 15th September.

COSTUME DESIGNER ALEX BOVAIRD FILMING "IRRESISTIBLE"!

Echo's Costume Designer Alex Bovaird is currently filming Jon Stewart’s IRRESISTIBLE. The political satire follows a Democrat strategist helping a retired veteran run for mayor in a small, conservative Midwest American town. The cast includes Steve Carrell and Mackenzie Davis.

ALEX BOVAIRD DESIGNS THE COSTUMES FOR BAD EDUCATION!

Shoot has begun on BAD EDUCATION and echo’s Costume Designer Alex Bovaird is once again collaborating with director Corey Finley. The film is produced by LA LA LAND Oscar winning producer Fred Berger through Automatik Entertainment and starts Hugh Jackman and Allison Janney.

Created by Kit Steinkellner, with costumes by Alex Bovaird and starring Elizabeth Olsen, SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS is available on Facebook Watch today. The series follows Leigh, who is left shell-shocked after the sudden death of her husband and is forced to realise that there was a lot about him she didn’t know.

"AMERICAN WOMAN": ECHO FESTIVAL FOCUS

With costumes by echo's Alex Bovaird and starring Sienna Miller, Christina Hendricks and Aaron Paul, the film tells the story of the disappearance of a child over a period of 11 years. Director Jake Scott highlights the tragedies that change a person and the life that happens in between.  AMERICAN WOMAN premiered at Toronto Film Festival on Sunday 9th September.

Festival Season is in full swing and Telluride has now announced their lineup for this year's festival. Congratulations to Sam Sneade, Additional Editor on THE FAVOURITE directed by Yorgos Lanthimos; Director of Photography Nadim Carlsen for Ali Abbasi's BORDER; Director of Photography David Gallego, ADFC for BIRDS OF PASSAGE directed by Cristina Gallego and Ciro Guerra; our new client, Director of Photography Joe Anderson for OLD MAN AND THE GUN directed by David Lowery and Editor Matteo Bini for documentary RETURN TO PODOR, directed by Kevin MacDonald. TORONTO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL FULL LINE UP ANNOUNCED!

TIFF 2018 has been releasing their line up in stages over the last couple of weeks, with the final program announced last night. We are very pleased to congratulate the following echo clients whose projects are at the festival; Gala Presentations include the world premiere of David McKenzie's OUTLAW KING which will open the festival, with Costume Design by Jane Petrie and Hair + Make-Up Design by Kirstin Chalmers; the world premiere of Nicole Holofcener's THE LAND OF STEADY HABITS with Costume Design by Alex Bovaird and A PRIVATE WAR directed by Matthew Heineman with Production Design by Sophie Becher. Lensed by Sean Price WilliamsAlex Ross Perry's HER SMELL will also have it's world premiere at the festival and will be shown in the Platform Presentations Program. In the Special Presentation Category we have more world premieres for TEEN SPIRIT, directed by Max Minghella with Production Design by Kave Quinnand Jake Scott's AMERICAN WOMAN which again features Costume Design by Alex Bovaird. Costume Designer, Jo Thompson and Hair + Make-up Designer, Emma Scott worked on Peter Strickland's IN FABRIC, which is part of the Midnight Madness program. The Contemporary World Cinema category includes BORDER directed by Ali Abassi and shot by Nadim Carlsen; and BIRDS OF PASSAGE directed by Cristina Gallego and Ciro Guerro, lensed by DoP David Gallego, ADFC. Last but not least, GWEN directed by William McGregor and with Production Design by Laura Ellis Cricks will appear in the Discovery section. Congratulations to you all! TlFF takes place between 6th - 16th September.

"SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS" HAS WRAPPED!

The Facebook and Big Beach Films series SORRY FOR YOUR LOSS has finished shooting. Directed by James Ponsoldt, the ten part half hour series explores the life of a widow as she deals with the grief of her late husband while reconnecting with relationships of her past. With Costume Design by Alex Bovaird and starring Elizabeth Olsen the project is one of the first high end series to be ordered for Facebook's new streaming platform, Watch.

"THOROUGHBREDS" RELEASED IN UK CINEMAS TODAY

After great reviews following Sundance and it's US release earlier this month, Cory Finley's THOROUGHBREDS is out in the UK today. With costume design by Alex Bovaird and produced by B Story and Focus Features, the psychological thriller, starring the late Anton Yelchin, tells the story of two upper-class teenage girls played Anya Taylor Joy and Olivia Cooke, who would be perfectly harmless on their own but prove to be homicidal in one another’s company!
