ECHO CLIENTS WORK FEATURED IN THE 2026 EDINBURGH INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL LINE-UP!

We're pleased to share that several projects featuring work by echo clients have been selected for the 2026 Edinburgh International Film Festival.

Selected for the Sean Connery Prize for Feature Filmmaking Excellence competition, 'MISSION' features work by echo clients Andy Drummond, BFDG, as Production Designer and Nick Cooke as Director of Photography. The film is directed by Paul Wright and produced by 65 Wilding Films, Early Day Films, BBC Film, BFI and Screen Scotland.

Also selected for the Sean Connery Prize for Feature Filmmaking Excellence competition, ‘THE STATE OF US’ features work by echo client Yunus Roy Imer as Director of Photography. The film is directed by Ollie Gardner and Jake Harvey, and produced by CrossDay Productions and Freeway Entertainment.

Selected for the Out of Competition programme, opening film ‘THE INCOMER’ features work by echo client Sarah Blenkinsop as Costume Designer. The film is written and directed by Louis Paxton and produced by Pilea Pictures and BFI.

Also screening for the Out of Competition category, ‘EXTRA GEOGRAPHY’ features work by echo client Andrew Commis, ACS, as Director of Photography. The film is directed by Molly Manners and produced by Sarah Brocklehurst for Brock Media.

The 79th Edinburgh International Film Festival takes place from 13–19 August 2026.

‘A HAPPY FAMILY’ TO COMPETE AT KARLOVY VARY INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL FEATURING WORK BY YUNUS ROY IMER!

We’re delighted to share that ‘A HAPPY FAMILY’, featuring work by echo’s Director of Photography Yunus Roy Imer, has been selected for the Crystal Globe Competition at the 60th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival.

Written and directed by Swiss filmmaker Jan-Eric Mack, the debut feature marks the first Swiss production ever selected for the festival’s main competition.

Produced by C-Films AG and Bendita Films, the film stars Anna Schinz, alongside Julia Jentsch and Bettina Stucky.

ON FALLING’, with Production Design by echo’s Andy Drummond, BFDG, which won the award for the Feature Film Prize and writer/director Laura Carreira won the Writer Film/Television Award.

THE OUTRUN’, with Production Design by echo’s Andy Drummond, BFDG, and Cinematography by echo’s Yunus Roy Imer, where director Nora Fingscheidt won the Director Fiction Prize and Saoirse Ronan won the Actress Film/Television Award.

LOCKERBIE: A SEARCH FOR TRUTH’, directed by Otto Bathurst and Jim Loach, with Editing by echo’s Dan Roberts, won the Television Scripted Award.

Also, shout out to Mikko Mäkelä's ‘SEBASTIAN', with Editing by Arttu Salmi, BFE, where Ruaridh Mollica was nominated for the Actor Film/Television Award.

Well done to all the amazing talent recognised at the awards in Glasgow last night (Sunday 16th November)!
