The new AMAZON ALEXA commercial has been dropped! The ad will have it’s TV debut this Super Bowl Sunday in front of millions but was released early by Ellen Degeneres who stars in the spot. Look out for Hair + Make-Up design by the brilliant Jemma Carballo!

Dani Pearce’s BACKPEDAL is screening again at Sundance today! Pearce’s short film was one of IndieWire “Must See Shorts” at this year’s fest. The beautiful images are captured by echo’s DoP Christopher Miles. Go check it out!

ECHO FESTIVAL FOCUS: "HIS HOUSE"!
HIS HOUSE had it’s World Premiere last night at Sundance! Remi Weekes’ debut film, which features costumes design by Holly Rebecca and VFX Editing by Richard Ketteridge, follows a refugee couple from South Sudan and their struggle to adjust to their new life in an English town. We are excited that the film has already been picked up by Netflix!

Lee Isaac Chung’s MINARI screens at Sundance again today! Nominated in US Dramatic Feature Competition, and shot by echo’s DoP Lachlan Milne, ACS, the film has already been very well received at the festival.

Romola Garai’s AMULET opened at Sundance over the weekend to some great reviews! The feature debut from Garai is brilliantly cut by echo’s Alastair Reid. If you’re at the fest, you can still catch it until Saturday!

Sundance is officially underway and Aneil Karia’s SURGE will have it’s world premiere on Sunday! Karia’s debut feature is nominated for the Grand Dury Prize in the World Cinema competition and was shot by regular collaborator DoP Stuart Bentley, BSC and designed by Production Designer Alexandra Toomey. The film stars Ben Whishaw, as we follow his character on a a tense and tightly wound thriller that unfolds over 24 hours…

BERLIN FILM FESTIVAL 2020 LINEUP SO FAR!
Berlin Film Festival have been announcing their 2020 lineup in waves, and while the full lineup is still to be announced, so far the following client projects will screen at the fest: Bassam Tariq’s MUGHAL MOWGLI (pictured) with Hair + Make-Up design by Bean Ellis and Additional Photography by Michael Paleodimos; H IS FOR HAPPINESS, shot by Bonnie Elliott, ACS; Aneil Karia’s SURGE, lensed by Stuart Bentley, BSC and with Production Design by Alexandra Toomey; HIGH GROUND will screen in the Special Programme section, shot by Andrew Commis, ACS; and finally included in Berlin Series will be Episodes 1 + 2 of STATELESS, shot by Bonnie Eliiott, ACS; and Episodes 1-5 of TRIGONOMETRY shot by Sean Price Williams and eps 1, 3 + 5 cut by Morten Højbjerg (further eps also cut be Editor Dan Roberts).
The full festival lineup should be announced before the end of the month and the fest runs from 20th Feb - 1st March 2020.
