BAFTA CRAFT WINNERS!!
We are still over the moon from Fridays BAFTAs! Congratulations to echo clients Loz Schiavo, Jinx Godfrey and Simon Smith who all picked up awards!
Loz won Best Hair + Make-Up Design for her incredible work on PEAKY BLINDERS (which she has designed since the first series of the show); and Jinx and Simon were awarded for Best Editing on CHERNOBYL.

The 2020 RTS Nominations have been announced! Congratulations to echo clients who worked on the following shows; THE CAPTURE (pictured) is nominated for Best Drama Series, Eps 3 + 6 were cut by Editor, Kim Gaster; CHERNOBYL, cut by Jinx Godfrey and Simon Smith is nominated for 3 awards including Best Mini-Series; THE LONG SONG, shot by DoP Chloë Thomson, BSC is also nominated for Best Mini-Series and 1 other award; and TOP BOY, eps 1-3 cut by Morten Højbjerg and shot by DoP Joe Anderson and eps 4 + 5 shot by Chloë Thomson, BSC has received a nomination for Best Actor (Male).

"CHERNOBYL" + "THE CROWN" BOTH NOMINATED FOR A GOLDEN GLOBE!
The Golden Globe noms for 2020 have been announced and we are excited to say that both CHERNOBYL and THE CROWN are nominated! CHERNOBYL, cut by echo Editors Jinx Godfrey and Simon Smith is nominated for Best Limited Series; and THE CROWN Season 3, with eps 1 + 3 edited by echo’s Yan Miles, is nominated for Best Drama Series!
The awards take place in LA on 5th January!
PRIMETIME EMMY WINNERS!
The Emmy’s were held over 2 weekends this year and the final winners were announced last night! Johan Renck’s CHERNOBYL, Edited by Jinx Godfrey and Simon Smith took home an amazing 10 awards including Simon’s win last weekend for Best Editing and Outstanding Limited Series which was announced yesterday. BLACK MIRROR: BANDERSNATCH which featured Hair + Make-Up Design by Kirstin Chalmers also won for Outstanding Television Movie.

EDITOR SIMON SMITH WINS AN EMMY FOR HIS WORK ON "CHERNOBYL"!
Huge Congratulations to echo’s Editor Simon Smith who won an Emmy last night for his work on CHERNOBYL! Simon cut episodes 2, 4 and co-edited 5 of Johan Renck’s critically acclaimed series but it was Simon’s work on episode 2 “Please Remain Calm” that took home the prize!
EMMY NOMINATIONS ANNOUNCED!
The Emmy nominations are out - congratulations to Jinx Godfrey and Simon Smith, both nominated for Outstanding Editing for a Limited Series with their work on the acclaimed CHERNOBYL!
CHERNOBYL has received 19 nominations across all categories, with further nominations for BANDERSNATCH (Outstanding Television Movie), BODYGUARD (Outstanding Drama Series) - featuring the work of Echo clients, Kirstin Chalmers and My Alehammar.
The award ceremony for the Creative Arts Emmys will take place on 15th September, with the Primetime Emmys on the 23rd September.

Johan Renck's historical drama, CHERNOBYL, will air on Sky Atlantic tonight at 9pm! The series, based on the real, harrowing events in Chernobyl nuclear power plant 30 years ago, has already received rave reviews after it's premiere at Tribeca. The series is cut by an all echo’s team of Jinx Godfrey and Simon Smith!

The series, directed by Johan Renck, is based on the horrific 1986 explosion at the Chernobyl nuclear power plant. WORK BEGINS ON HBO'S "CHERNOBYL"
The new 5 part miniseries, starring Stellan Skarsgârd, Jared Harris and Emily Watson has now begun shooting. Written by Craig Mazin and produced by Sister Pictures and Mighty Mint for HBO and Sky Atlantic, CHERNOBYL is a dramatisation of the true story of the Chernobyl nuclear explosion, one of the worst human made disasters in history. The series will be directed by Johan Renck and cut by Editors Jinx Godfrey and Simon Smith.
