CONGRATULATIONS TO THE 2026 NATIONAL FILM AWARDS WINNERS FEATURING WORK BY ECHO CLIENTS!

Congratulations to all of the winning projects featuring work by echo clients at the 2026 National Film Awards.

🏆 ‘I SWEAR’ won Best British Film, featuring Editing by echo’s Sam Sneade. The film was directed by Kirk Jones and produced by One Story High and Bankside Films.

🏆 ‘SECRET SERVICE’ won Best Supporting Actress in a TV Series (Alex Kingston), featuring Editing by echo’s Matteo Bini on episodes 1, 2 and 3. The series was directed by James Marsh and produced by Potboiler.

🏆 ‘UNDER SALT MARSH’ won Best Actress in a TV Series (Kelly Reilly), featuring Editing by echo’s Alastair Reid (Editor on episodes 1, 2, 5 and 6 and Co-Editor on episodes 3 and 4). The series was directed by Claire Oakley and produced by Little Door Productions and Sky Studios.

SPECIAL SCREENING AND LIVE DIRECTOR Q&A OF AMULET TODAY!

Check out the special screening of AMULET at Finsbury Park Picture House followed by a live Q&A with Director Romola Garai tonight at 7.30pm. The film was cut by echo Editor Alastair Reid, features Production Design by echo's Francesca Massariol and is officially out in cinemas this Friday!

"AMULET" IS OUT TODAY IN THE US!

AMULET is out today in the US in select cinemas and on demand. Romola Garai’s feature debut premiered at Sundance in January to great reviews! The film is cut by echo Editor Alastair Reid and stars Alec Secareanu and Imelda Staunton. No date for UK release yet but we'll keep you posted.

"THE SALISBURY POISONINGS" CONTINUES TONIGHT ON BBC!

The second episode of THE SALISBURY POISONINGS, cut by echo’s Editor Alastair Reid, airs tonight on BBC One. The 3 parter, directed by Saul Dibb, follows the events of the 2018 poisoning of MI6 agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia. It concludes tomorrow night but all eps are already available on BBC iPlayer.

ECHO FESTIVAL FOCUS: "AMULET"!

Romola Garai’s AMULET opened at Sundance over the weekend to some great reviews! The feature debut from Garai is brilliantly cut by echo’s Alastair Reid. If you’re at the fest, you can still catch it until Saturday!

AACTA CREATIVE EXCELLENCE AWARDS WINNERS 2019!

The AACTA Creative Excellence Awards 2019 have been announced! Congratulations to echo’s Jane Petrie for Best Costume Design on THE KING and Editor Alastair Reid for Best Editing on THE CRY.

EDITOR ALASTAIR REID FINISHES ON BBC "THE LUMINARIES"!

Editor, Alastair Reid, will soon finish on the BBC’s new mini-series THE LUMINARIES! Al is Supervising Editor on all episodes, based on Eleanor Catton’s Man Booker prize-winning novel. The series is directed by Claire McCarthy and stars Himesh Patel, Eva Green and Eve Hewson.

SCOTTISH BAFTA NOMINATIONS 2019!

The nominations for this year’s Scottish BAFTAs are out! Congratulations to Production Designer Andy Drummond who designed Harry Wootliff’s ONLY YOU, which is nominated for Best Feature Film; and to Editor Alastair Reid for his work on THE CRY which is nominated for Best Scripted Television award.

The ceremony will take place in Glasgow on Sunday 3rd of November!

POST PRODUCTION BEGINS ON "OUTSIDE"!

Editor, Alastair Reid is now officially in Post Production on OUTSIDE. The feature is actress Romola Garai’s directional debut and stars Imelda Staunton, Carla Juri (pictured, photo credit to Ralf Uhler) and Alec Secareanu. The story follows a refugee who finds safety from war in a decaying house caring for a woman and her dying mother. He suspects the younger woman is enslaved by a demon, but everything is not what it seems…

AL REID FINISHES EDITING ON THE CRY!

Adapted by screenwriter Jacquelin Perske from the novel by Helen FitzGerald and directed by Glendyn Ivin, THE CRY tells the story of a couple whose child gets abducted. Echo’s Alastair Reid has edited the whole series which star Jenna Coleman and Ewen Leslie.
