THE REASON I JUMP is out in UK cinemas tomorrow! Jerry Rothwell’s award winning Documentary, shot by echo’s DoP Ruben Woodin Dechamps, explores the experiences of non-speaking autistic people. I MAY DESTROY YOU won both Best Mini-Series and Best Leading Actress for Michaela Coel at the BAFTA TV Awards last night! Congratulations to echo Editor John Dwelly who cut eps 6 and 12 of the series, and of course he also picked up a BAFTA for his work a couple of weeks ago.
"TIME" IS ON BBC ONE TONIGHT AT 9PM!
TIME is on BBC One tonight at 9pm! Lewis Arnold’s three parter was cut by regular collaborator Sacha Szwarc and stars Sean Bean and Stephen Graham.

ANNE BOLEYN airs tonight at 9pm on Channel 5! The mini-series, directed by Lynsey Miller, was shot by echo Director of Photography Nick Cooke and airs over the next three nights. The three-parter charts the final few months of a pregnant Anne Boleyn.

Aneil Karia’s debut feature, SURGE, is out today! Starring Ben Whishaw, the film was nominated for the Grand Jury Prize at Sundance Film Festival and was shot by DoP Stuart Bentley, BSC and designed by Production Designer Alexandra Toomey. THE BEAST MUST DIE is out on Brit Box today! Directed by Dome Karukoski and cut (eps 2 and 4) by echo Editor Dan Roberts, the crime thriller follows Cush Jumbo’s character as she tries to hunt down the man who killed her son.

We are so proud to congratulate Editor John Dwelly on his BAFTA win last night for his work on Michaela Coel’s I MAY DESTROY YOU! The show also picked up awards for Best Director and Writer.
The remaining BAFTA TV winners will be announced at a separate ceremony on 6th June.

A couple of months on and we are still loving Sean Baker’s KHAITE spot, shot by echo’s brilliant DoP Sean Price Williams. The short film was shot on the streets of New York where supermodels, in beautiful Khaite clothing, replace the usual tough New York City gangs!

HIGH GROUND is out in the US today! Directed by Stephen Johnson and shot by echo’s DoP Andrew Commis, ACS the film screened at Berlin Film Festival and was also in competition at Camerimage last year. Hoping for a UK release soon!

If you missed DANNY BOY on the TV this week make sure you catch it on iPlayer! The film, brilliantly designed by echo Production Designer Malin Lindholm and Directed by Sam Miller, is based on the true story of soldier Brian Wood who was accused of war crimes in Iraq by the human rights lawyer Phil Shiner, played by Toby Jones.

The trailer for new Amazon Prime series, SOLOS, is here! The show features a stellar cast including Helen Mirren and Morgan Freeman, and was cut by both echo Editors Luke Dunkley and Simon Smith. The series drops on Amazon on the 21st of May.

BAFTA TV NOMINATIONS 2021!
We are very excited to congratulate echo Editor John Dwelly for his BAFTA TV nomination for Best Editing on I MAY DESTROY YOU! The show also received multiple other nominations including Best Mini Series and Best Director for Michael Coel.
We are also pleased to congratulate Director of Photography Chloë Thomson, BSC for her work on ADULT MATERIAL, which received 4 nominations including Best Mini-Series; Editors Yan Miles, ACE and Morten Højbjerg who both cut episodes of THE CROWN which is nominated in multiple categories including Best Drama Series and a Best Director nod for Benjamin Caron; and Editor Richard Ketteridge who was Associate Editor on SMALL AXE which is nominated for Best Mini-Series as well as 14 other nominations!
The winners will be announced over two ceremonies, May 24th for the craft categories and June 6th programme awards.

Shariff Korver’s DO NOT HESITATE is in this year’s Tribeca Film Festival lineup. The war drama was shot by echo Director of Photography Nadim Carlsen, DFF and has been selected for the International Narrative Competition.
This year’s festival will run from 9th-20th June.
"IN THE EARTH" IS OUT IN THE US TODAY!
Ben Wheatley’s IN THE EARTH is released in the US today! The horror film, written and directed by Wheatley, features costume design by Emma Fryer and Hair + Make-Up Design by Emma Scott. UK release is set for June.
