Throwback Thursday! The BAFTA nominated series, DEAD SET, is available to stream on Netflix! Written by Charlie Brooker (BLACK MIRROR) and Directed by Yann Demange the comedy horror features Costume Design by echo’s Rebecca Hale and Hair + Make-Up Design by echo’s Emma Scott.
LENA DUNHAM'S SERIES "INDUSTRY" IN FULL SWING!
INDUSTRY, the new drama for HBO, is now a couple of weeks into the shoot. Hair + Make-Up is being designed by echo’s Bean Ellis and the series, directed by Lena Dunham, follows a group of young London bankers after the 2008 collapse.
SARAH JENNESON DESIGNS "AFTER LOVE" FOR THE BUREAU!
Production Designer, Sarah Jenneson, is designing BAFTA nominated Aleem Khan’s debut feature, AFTER LOVE. The film, being produced by The Bureau, began shooting last week and is in association with BBC Films and the BFI.
"PISTORIUS" IS SHORTLISTED FOR A GRIERSON AWARD!
Vaughan Sivell’s PISTORIUS has been shortlisted for the Best Documentary Series at the 2019 Grierson Awards! Congratulations to echo’s Matteo Bini who cut the Amazon Prime series which explores the tragedy of Reeva Steenkamp’s death alongside a look at South Africa’s trubulent society.
The nominations will be announced on 19th September!
"TEEN SPIRIT" IN UK CINEMAS TODAY!
Max Minghella’s directional debut TEEN SPIRIT is out in the UK today! Starring Elle Fanning, production design by echo’s Kave Quinn, and produced by LA LA LAND’s Fred Berger the film follows Violet (Fanning) and her dreams of leaving her home town in persuit of a singing career.
VENICE FILM FESTIVAL 2019 LINEUP IS OUT!
Venice Film Festival 2019 lineup has been announced! Shannon Murphy’s BABYTEETH, shot by echo’s Andrew Commis, ACS, is in the Official Competition; David Michôd’s THE KING with costume design by echo’s Jane Petrie will also be screened at the fest and ALL THIS VICTORY (pictured), directed by Ahmad Ghossein and edited by echo’s Yannis Chalkiadakis is in the Critics Week lineup. Congratulations!
The festival runs from 28th August - 7th September.
TIFF 2019 LINEUP ANNOUNCED!
We are excited to say that the first wave of the TIFF lineup is announced and the following client films will be screening at this year’s fest: Gabriela Cowperthwaite’s THE FRIEND, shot by echo’s Joe Anderson; JUDY, directed by Rupert Goold and with production design by Kave Quinn and Cory Finley’s BAD EDUCATION with costume design by Alex Bovaird.
The festival takes place between 5th - 15th September.
DOMINIC SAVAGE'S "I AM" SERIES STARTS TONIGHT!
Bafta winning Director, Dominic Savage’s, I AM series airs it’s first episode tonight on Channel Four! The series, shot by echo’s DoP Stuart Bentley, BSC, features 3 hour-long films following 3 different women’s lives and struggles starring Vicky McClure, Samantha Morton and Gemma Chan.

"GWEN" IN UK CINEMAS TODAY!
GWEN is out today! Written and directed by William McGregor, the film is set in the rugged Welsh landscape of Victorian Britain and was nominated at both Toronto and Edinburgh Film Festivals. The beautiful design comes from echo’s Production Designer Laura Ellis Cricks.

EMMY NOMINATIONS ANNOUNCED!
The Emmy nominations are out - congratulations to Jinx Godfrey and Simon Smith, both nominated for Outstanding Editing for a Limited Series with their work on the acclaimed CHERNOBYL!
CHERNOBYL has received 19 nominations across all categories, with further nominations for BANDERSNATCH (Outstanding Television Movie), BODYGUARD (Outstanding Drama Series) - featuring the work of Echo clients, Kirstin Chalmers and My Alehammar.
The award ceremony for the Creative Arts Emmys will take place on 15th September, with the Primetime Emmys on the 23rd September.

James Marsh’s, THE THEORY OF EVERYTHING, is now available on Netflix. The film, starring Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones, received countless wins and nominations including a BAFTA nomination for echo’s editor, Jinx Godfrey who cut the film with Mark Keady as Associate Editor.
