Congratulations to echo’s client Yannis Chalkiadakis, Editor of Ahmad Ghossein’s ALL THIS VICTORY, which won 3 awards at Venice Critics Week this weekend, including the Critics Week Grand Prize and the Audience Award for Best Film!

VENICE FILM FESTIVAL 2019 LINEUP IS OUT!

Venice Film Festival 2019 lineup has been announced! Shannon Murphy’s BABYTEETH, shot by echo’s Andrew Commis, ACS, is in the Official Competition; David Michôd’s THE KING with costume design by echo’s Jane Petrie will also be screened at the fest and ALL THIS VICTORY (pictured), directed by Ahmad Ghossein and edited by echo’s Yannis Chalkiadakis is in the Critics Week lineup. Congratulations!

The festival runs from 28th August - 7th September.

"LOST TRANSMISSIONS": ECHO FESTIVAL FOCUS!

Premiering today at Tribeca is Katherine O’Brien’s LOST TRANSMISSIONS! Edited by echo’s Yannis Chalkiadakis and starring Simon Pegg and Juno Temple, the film which is set in the grit and glamour of LA, focuses on Pegg’s character who after lapsing on his schizophrenia medication, begins to have colourful delusions!

SUNDANCE FILM FESTIVAL STARTS TODAY!

The Sundance Film Festival starts today with a few additional ECHO appearances!  Jonas Åkerlund's LORDS OF CHAOS follows the dark and twisted beginnings of Oslo's Black Metal movement, showing in the "Midnight" programme with costumes designed by Susie Coulthard and hair and make-up designed by Loz Schiavo. Meanwhile Yannis Chalkiadakis, a new client to ECHO edited the feature PITY which is nominated for the Grand Jury Prize.  MR INBETWEEN, directed by Nash Edgerton and lensed by Director of Photography Christopher Miles will also see it's world premiere.   This is in addition to, the BAFTA nominated I AM NOT A WITCH, with art direction from Malin Lindholm, lensed by David Gallego and costumed by Holly Rebecca, along with the US premiere of Michael Pearce's BEAST, with production design by Laura Ellis Cricks OPHELIA, starring Naomi Watts and Tom Felton will have it's world premiere, directed by Claire McCarthy and edited by Luke Dunkley.  Luke also co-edited Bart Layton's AMERICAN ANIMALS, screening in the "US Dramatic Competition".
