A teaser has been released ahead of the world premiere tomorrow at Toronto! Lensed by regular collaborator Sean Price Williams, Alex Ross Perry directs Elizabeth Moss as an unhinged punk rocker and destructive musician, struggling with sobriety and pushing the relationship with her bandmates, family and fans to the limit.
The film premieres at Toronto International Film Festival on Sunday 9th September.

Written and directed by Bart Layton, the Sundance nominated AMERICAN ANIMALS, is released in UK cinemas today. Starring Barry Keoghan, this witty yet gripping feature, follows four young men who plan to pull off one of the most audacious heists in US history. "PISTORIUS" IS OUT NOW ON AMAZON PRIME
The four part documentary edited and co-written by Matteo Bini , is available to watch now on Amazon. Originally made as a feature-length documentary, PISTORIUS delves into the story of Paralympic and Olympic athlete, Oscar Pistorius who shot and killed his girlfriend, Reeva Steenkamp in the early hours of Valentine's Day 2013.
義理/ 恥 GIRI HAJI SHOOT IS UNDERWAY!
Production Designer Morgan Kennedy is now shooting GIRI HAJI for Sister Pictures, BBC and Netflix with Julian Farino (pictured) directing the opening block. The 8 part series follows a detective from Tokyo arriving in London looking for his Yakuza influenced and murder accused missing brother. The series shoots in both Japan and London and starsTakehiro Hira, Justin Long and Kelly Macdonald.
THE SHOOT ON NEW SERIES "DEEP WATER" BEGINS!
Production Designer, Malin Lindholm and Editor, Sarah Brewerton have begun the shoot on new series DEEP WATER for Kudos and ITV. Harry Wootliff, who has her directorial debut, ONLY YOU in London Film Festival this year (starring Josh O’Connor and Laia Costa) will direct the opening block of the six part series. The emotional thriller follows the lives of three complex and vibrant women played by Anna Friel (pictured here in MARCELLA), Sinead Keenan and Rosalind Eleazar and is set against the beautiful and imposing backdrop of the Lake District.

After huge success at festivals this year already including winning the Un Certain Regard Award at Cannes Film Festival, Ali Abbasi's BORDER will also appear at this year's TIFF, Telluride and the London Film Festival. Shot by the incredibly talented, Variety's "Cinematographer To Watch", echo's Nadim Carlsen, don’t let anyone spoil the plot before going to see it! This is one not to be missed!
THIRD SEASON OF "TOP BOY" SHOOTS FOR NETFLIX
The third season of the award winning series, TOP BOY, is underway. Echo's Director of Photography Joe Anderson and Editor Morten Højbjerg are collaborating on Reinaldo Marcus Green's episodes (1 - 3), with Director of Photography Chloë Thomson lensing episodes 4 and 5 for Director Nia DaCosta.
TOP BOY will premiere as a Netflix original in 2019, with Drake on board as executive producer along with original producers Charles Steel and Alasdair Flind of Cowboy Films.
"THREE GIRLS" WINS AT EDINBURGH TV FESTIVAL!
Philippa Lowthorpe's THREE GIRLS has added to it's list of awards, with it's latest win coming from Edinburgh Television Festival where it won Best UK Drama. Produced by Studio Lambert, the mini-series was based on the harrowing real life story of three young girls who were abused and trafficked while the authorities failed to do anything about it. Congratulations go to Costume Designer Emma Fryer for her work on the project!
KIRSTIN CHALMERS STARTS SHOOTING HBO MINISERIES "CATHERINE THE GREAT"!
Hair + Make-up Designer, Kirstin Chalmers, begins shooting on HBO and Sky's new four-part drama, CATHERINE THE GREAT. Produced by Origin and New Pictures with director Philip Martin at the helm, Academy Award winner, Helen Mirren (pictured in ELIZABETH I) will lead the story of history's most powerful female monarch who ruled the Russian empire and transformed its standing in the world in the 18th century.
THE NEW BFI iFEATURE, "PERFECT 10" WRAPS!
Production designer, Sarah Jenneson and Costume Designer, Susie Coulthard have both wrapped on Writer/Director, Eva Riley's PERFECT 10, produced by the BFI under the ifeatures scheme along with The Bureau. Having graduated from the NFTS with previous shorts including DIAGNOSIS, PATRIOT and JOYRIDE (pictured), the ifeature is the directorial feature debut for Screen Star of Tomorrow, Riley and tells the story of Leigh, a teenage gymnast, who's intense routine is turned upside down when a half-brother that she didn’t know existed comes to stay.

EMMA SCOTT STARTS SHOOTING "THE NEST"!
Shooting has begun on MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE director, Sean Durkin's next feature, THE NEST. Written by Durkin and produced by Element Pictures, FilmNation and BBC Films, the part psychological thriller, part family drama stars Jude Law and Carrie Coon (pictured). Hair + Make-up Designer, Emma Scott has re-united with Durkin after working together previously on SOUTHCLIFFE.
COSTUME DESIGNER GUY SPERANZA BEGINS SHOOT ON ALEX GARLAND'S "DEVS"!
DEVS, the new 8 part series directed by Alex Garland (pictured with Alicia Vikander in Ex Machina) has started shooting this week. The thriller, produced by DNA Films and FX productions, follows a computer engineer who suspects that a secretive department in her company is behind the disappearance of her boyfriend. Echo's Guy Speranza is on board to design the costumes and Nick Offerman and Zach Grenier star.
"TEEN SPIRIT" AT TIFF!
TEEN SPIRIT, with echo's production designer Kave Quinn at the helm, will appear in the Special Presentation Category at this year's Toronto Film Festival! Produced by LA LA LAND Producer, Fred Berger at Automatik Entertainment, the film is the directorial debut by The Handmaid's Tale actor Max Minghella and stars Elle Fanning as a shy teenager living on the Isle of Wight who dreams of becoming a pop star.
"OUTLAW KING" FIRST LOOK!
The trailer for David Mackenzie's new feature, OUTLAW KING has been released. The star studded biopic which will open this year's Toronto Film Festival is Produced by Sigma, Netflix and Anonymous Content and tells the story of the King of Scots, Robert The Bruce, and his fight against the ruling English. The film stars Chris Pine, Florence Pugh and Aaron Taylor-Johnson and features costume design by Jane Petrie and hair design by Kirstin Chalmers. The film will be officially released on Netflix on November 9th.

TORONTO INTERNATIONAL FILM FESTIVAL FULL LINE UP ANNOUNCED!
TIFF 2018 has been releasing their line up in stages over the last couple of weeks, with the final program announced last night. We are very pleased to congratulate the following echo clients whose projects are at the festival; Gala Presentations include the world premiere of David McKenzie's OUTLAW KING which will open the festival, with Costume Design by Jane Petrie and Hair + Make-Up Design by Kirstin Chalmers; the world premiere of Nicole Holofcener's THE LAND OF STEADY HABITS with Costume Design by Alex Bovaird and A PRIVATE WAR directed by Matthew Heineman with Production Design by Sophie Becher. Lensed by Sean Price Williams, Alex Ross Perry's HER SMELL will also have it's world premiere at the festival and will be shown in the Platform Presentations Program. In the Special Presentation Category we have more world premieres for TEEN SPIRIT, directed by Max Minghella with Production Design by Kave Quinn; and Jake Scott's AMERICAN WOMAN which again features Costume Design by Alex Bovaird. Costume Designer, Jo Thompson and Hair + Make-up Designer, Emma Scott worked on Peter Strickland's IN FABRIC, which is part of the Midnight Madness program. The Contemporary World Cinema category includes BORDER directed by Ali Abassi and shot by Nadim Carlsen; and BIRDS OF PASSAGE directed by Cristina Gallego and Ciro Guerro, lensed by DoP David Gallego, ADFC. VENICE FILM FESTIVAL LINE UP ANNOUNCED!
This year's Venice Film Festival line up has been announced! Congratulations go to Sam Sneade who was Additional Editor on Yorgos Lanthimos' THE FAVOURITE which is nominated for a Golden Lion Award. Congrats also go to Director of Photography Carlos Catalan for Alvaro Brechner's LA NOCHE DE 12 AÑOS (pictured) which is nominated for Best Film in the Horizon Award category. The festival takes place between 29th August and 8th September.
