ISABELLE STACHTCHENKO INTERVIEW FEATURES IN CINEMATOGRAPHY WORLD!

We’re pleased to share that echo’s Director of Photography, Isabelle Stachtchenko, was recently featured in Cinematography World. She discusses her work on ‘UNIVERSAL LANGUAGE’, Matthew Rankin’s surreal comedy.

In the article, Isabelle shares her process, from selecting cameras, to long takes and minimal lighting. She reflects on shooting in extreme winter conditions and how the camera playfully guides the viewer.

The film won the Audience Award at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, was Canada’s Oscar submission for Best International Feature, and earned Isabblle a Special Jury Prize at Montclair.
