EDINBURGH TV FESTIVAL NOMINEES!
The 2023 Edinburgh TV Festival nominees have been announced! This year’s nominated projects feature heaps of echo client work:
Best Drama Series includes I AM RUTH, shot by echo DoP Rachel Clark with Production Design by Noam Piper; BAD SISTERS, with Cinematography by Evelin van Rei, NSC; SHERWOOD, cut by Sacha Szwarc, and SLOW HORSES, featuring work by Costume Designer Guy Speranza, DoP David Chizallet AFC and Editors Luke Dunkley and Morten Hojbjerg.
Best International Drama Series nominees including: THE WHITE LOTUS (pictured), with Costume Design by Alex Bovaird; STRANGER THINGS, with Cinematography by Lachlan Milne ASC, ACS, NZCS, and THE LAST OF US, with Ali Abbassi’s episodes lensed by Nadim Carlsen DFF.
Disney+ series EXTRAORDINARY is up for Best Comedy Series, featuring Costume Design by Buki Ebiesuwa with the first block shot by Carlos Catalan.
'NEXT GOAL WINS' WILL HAVE ITS DEBUT AT THIS YEAR'S TIFF!
Taika Waititi’s latest feature NEXT GOAL WINS, shot by echo DoP Lachlan Milne, ASC, ACS, NZCS, will have its world premiere at this year’s Toronto International Film Festival in September! The film, starring Will Arnett, Elisabeth Moss and Michael Fassbender, will later hit cinemas worldwide on November 17th. We can’t wait to see it on the big screen!
CANNES LIONS 2023 WINNERS!
Great to see that the brilliant Uber Eats “Do Less” Campaign won 3 Gold Lions at this years Cannes Lions Festival! All 3 spots were Directed by Andreas Nilsson and designed by echo Production Designer Jon Henson and Costume Designer Sarah Blenkinsop. Congratulations to the whole team!

"SILENT ROAR" TO OPEN THE 2023 EDINBURGH FILM FESTIVAL!
SILENT ROAR will open the 2023 Edinburgh Film Festival! Johnny Barrington’s debut feature was shot by echo Director of Photography Ruben Woodin Dechamps and features Costume Design by Taff Williamson. Set and shot in Scotland’s Outer Hebrides the film was produced by Screen Scotland, the BFI and BBC Films.

The 76th Cannes Film Festival is well underway and we are so excited for the world premiere of THE SWEET EAST, directed and lensed by echo DoP Sean Price Williams. Sean’s solo directorial debut is screening today as part of the festival’s Directors' Fortnight sidebar!

The lineup includes: SCRAPPER (Production Designer Elena Muntoni, Hair + Makeup Designer Nora Robertson, Editor Matteo Bini); BLUE JEAN (Costume Designer Kirsty Halliday, Hair + Makeup Designer Kat Morgan); THE HAPPIEST MAN IN THE WORLD (Costume Designer Monika Lorber) - pictured; NIGHTSIREN (DoP Federico Cesca); PRETTY RED DRESS (Editor Andonis Trattos); RAGING GRACE (Additional Editor Sarah Brewerton), and RUN RABBIT RUN (DoP Bonnie Elliott ACS)
The festival will take place 7th-18th June!
THE 2023 GREAT8 CANNES SHOWCASE LINEUP IS HERE!
This year’s BFI showcase will feature the world premiere of Naqqash Khalid’s IN CAMERA (pictured), featuring Hair + Makeup Design by Diandra Ferreira as well as Lucy Cohen’s EDGE OF SUMMER, shot by echo DoP Rachel Clark!
Cannes' GREAT8 will also premiere STARVE ACRE, directed by Daniel Kokotajlo and designed by echo Production Designer Francesca Massariol, Costume Designer Emma Fryer and Hair + Makeup Designer Lisa Parkinson.
